just ordered @pitrh's PF book from @nostarch, but doing so from #OpenBSD was hard: cloudflare verification that i am not malicious bot was just pain: it did not work in #Firefox, i managed to do order and pay in #Chromium, but accessing profile page never worked. this is crazy. if you make ordering so hard, you don't want me as customer. even though i see i have been customer of theirs since 2011.

Hype for the Future 137/284 → Split View in Chromium

Overview The Chromium Web Browser has recently gained a new feature as of March 17, 2026, known as Split View. With Split View, the Chromium window can be split with two (2) distinct views within a single apparent tab view. However, for the purposes of navigation, the two (2) distinct tabs, known as "left" and "right" views, are accessible by standard keyboard shortcuts otherwise associated with standard tab views. When navigating between tabs, the value of the "left" tab is one less than […]

Container Timing: measuring web components performance

Google brings Chrome to Linux ARM64 devices 🧩.

Feels ironic. Most people switch to Linux for privacy and freedom — not to install a data‑harvesting browser from the company they’re escaping 🔒.

Multiple Chromium updates in rapid succession

You may have noticed that after my release of the Slackware package for Chromium (and its Un-Googled sibling) version 146.0.7680.71 there was a really short interval until I released an update in the form of the 146.0.7680.75 version. Chromium 146.0.7680.71 is the latest major version upgrade and it addressed a crazy amount of CVE's. I am not even going to lookup and configure the URLs...
