Der Chef des Arbeitsmarktservice (AMS), Johannes Kopf, warnt vor drastischen Folgen für den Arbeitsmarkt, sollte die Politik dem demografischen Wandel und anderen Gesellschaftstrends nicht rasch mit weiteren Maßnahmen begegnen. Derzeit geht das AMS davon aus, dass 2050 rund 120.000 Erwerbspersonen fehlen werden, wobei sich die Lage außerhalb Wiens besonders ungünstig entwickeln dürfte. Das Problem ist zwar bekannt, bisher sei aber „viel zu wenig“ passiert, so Kopf am Dienstagabend bei einem Pressegespräch.
