@msdropbear42 Hmmm - the sector is captive to the vested interests of developers, builders, various industry associations / bodies & local councils - protection for consumers and tenants comes a very distant last. The various state governments pay lip service to strengthening legislation including penalties and other measures. I’ve given up trying to get my builder to fix poor workmanship - the time, effort, stress & costs of going to civil / administrative tribunals is prohibitive & the potential for a positive outcome is limited.
