The ancient and medieval center of Ravenna was heavily damaged before and during the Second World War. Before the war, the city was redesigned according to fascist ideology. During the war, the German Wehrmacht and Allied bombing destroyed parts of the city center. The gaps left by this destruction were filled in the 1960s with buildings designed by architects who had previously worked for the fascist regime. The slightly curved façade of the residential and commercial building in the belongs to the taste of the 60s. However, the strict rectangular symmetry could also be from the fascist era.

Constructed in 1909, No 8 Cumberland St S in Thunder Bay Ontario has been home to a private bank until 1914, a mortgage company until 1933 and with with sixty centimeter thick walls and two vaults, a jewelers until 2009. The building was listed as a Heritage Property by The City of Thunder Bay in 2011.
