Today I started early (6) to cover some distance before the worst of the heat.
TBH, today was hard. Sitting hurts, boring landscape. Headwind. On the right fields forever. Left Danube behind trees. No shade to be had. Put on some music, head down and just pushed on.

Highlight so far was meeting a fellow #Bikepacker. And the finding out I know him from the above hashtag. @plactagonic it was a pleasure meeting you.
I slept a bit in the hammock on the campsite. The bird tried to hit me as well

@Blackhound you're both a braver & fitter #bikepacker than I am! I'm a novice.

I do have have a Sea to Summit Ether Light XT for cold weather. It has an R-value of 6.2. But it's more bulky than most at that rating such as the thermarest neoair xtherm. I tried the latter but it was too narrow and too noisy with the crinkly crackling.
The Ether Light for me is very comfortable. I think most bikepackers would baulk at its pack size but I managed to get it into my alpkit stem cell

@Blackhound bold move in this weather. Bivvy and tarp or do you have a tent?

I'm a fair weather #bikepacker. My last trip was end of September. And I've not actually been wild camping I always find a campsite. Sounds awesome.
