Yes you can say it! Bike lights are more important than bike helmets. So are a lot of other things: 30 kph speed limits, bike paths, bike training, driver visibility out of truck cabs, etc

I wear headband or a buff underneath the bike helmet. Still the padding was soaked in sweat, especially after the hot days and it started to smell. So I took it out and rinsed it by hand with warm water and a mild detergent. I also wiped the helmet down and .... Well it still doesn't smell like roses, but a lot better than before.
