I have today worn my #BigCoat to work for the first time this year. Formerly known as my #Iceland coat, it’s absolutely cold enough to wear it here #today.

It’s down and padded and waterproof and lined with something like those emergency blankets you see marathons finishers wearing.

I was sweating like a paedophile in a playground all the way to work!

Another beautifully clear night #tonight. The #moon is high and will be full two nights from now, and the #stars are all visible again in the cloudless #sky.

The difference tonight though compared to last week is the #cold. The temperature has been dropping noticeably, and it was -2°C when I left work. I had to break out the de-icer for the first time before I could set off for home.

It’s a hard frost.
Winter is definitely coming.

I went for the rain coat over the #bigcoat! I fear that may have been a mistake.

It will have to be pretty dark for the #biglight to go on! That is only used in emergency situations - when we have lost the remote.
