I'm curious.....where do you all find and harvest beach plums. I'm not looking to move in on someone's spot, just looking for general locations. I'll start:

I forage for beach plums in the dunes of the Province Lands just outside Provincetown. Sometimes I'm lucky enough to visit in May so I can see which bushes are blooming. I've found the quantities of beach plums varies significantly from year to year, and I've not figured out what causes this. One year I will easily get 16 pounds, the next might be none, absolutely nothing. #BeachPlum #foraging #NationalSeashore #Provincetown

The Beach Plum, Prunus maritima, I bought last year has burst into bloom in the front yard during the last few days. This year I planted a second one that has only been in the ground for a couple of weeks and is not ready to bloom. Since it is said you need at least two for cross pollination in order to get beach plums, I might not have fruit this year unless there is one growing somewhere else nearby. But sometimes gardening is about waiting. I'm happy that this one has flourished.
