Rai (Kingdom Hearts II version)

When I drew this, I was playing through Kingdom Hearts 2.5 and something about Rai struck me as odd. I’m not sure what age he was supposed to be in KH2, but he appears older than he should be—he’s got facial hair for one and is quite tall. And something about him kind of screamed “officially straight but will sleep with boys in the down low.” He was never seen again in Twilight Town either in KH3.

Anyway, I drew him a little older to make sure there were no misunderstandings. I could have draw Raijin from FFVIII, but the way they designed Rai jn KH2 reminded me of the athletes I had secret crushes on jn high school.
