Yesterday's threads are today's trim.
The pattern is that of Hallstatt Textile 123, which dates dack to the Celtic period. It was found in the salt mines of Hallstatt, where it has been reused and was thus preserved. Originally it was most probably sewn onto a sleeve hem.

I'm using my favourite inkle loom shuttle as it is very comfy in the hand, and holds a lot of weft.
