Finland oversees repairs of Russian subsea cables in its exclusive economic zone.

The current repair efforts are focused on the Baltika cable, which is owned by the Russian state company Rostelecom. Repairs are expected to take about a week, depending on weather conditions.

Finnish authorities did not comment on whether the Baltika subsea cable damage was related to cable incidents impacting Finland.

Carlsberg CEO: russia has 'stolen our business'

#Carlsberg has cut all ties with its russian business and refuses to enter a deal with russia’s government that would make its seizure of the assets look legitimate, the brewer’s new CEO said today.

Carlsberg had eight breweries and about 8,400 employees in russia, and took a 9.9bn Danish crown ($1.41bn) write-down on #Baltika last year.

The russian state has taken control of shares in the russian subsidiary of #French food producer Danone, according to a decree signed by President putin on July 16.

The decree also said that the state is taking control of the shares in #Baltika Breweries that are owned by the #Danish multinational corporation #Carlsberg Group.

Neither #Danone nor #Carlsberg has commented on the decree putin signed on July 16
