Are there any EAN-13 and ITF-14 #barcodes that can be used for internal testing purposes without conflicting with actual products?

#scifi media often has characters with prominent #barcodes as tattoos or on uniforms/clothes as a symbol of dehumanization/commodification.

This feels sort of #retrofuturistic now-- a NFC device the size of a grain of rice, implanted or sewn in, serves the same purpose without being an obvious visual standout or requiring line-of-sight.

It doesn't give the same aesthetic, but maybe the Legion of Evil's soldiers could set off the shoplifting checkpoint at the bookstore instead.

Here's an Android app, written by a #Danish development team, which will identify #goods made in the #USA so that you can #boycott them, should you so wish.

It's called Made O'Meter.
