Beyond Paradise series 4 — 28-day and 7-day audience figures

This is the 28-day post to sit alongside the 7-day post. Again, this was not drip-fed across weeks, but published once all the figures had been released.

The numbers

Commentary

My overall impression is consistency. Very little drop in the 7-day figures, though the 28-day shows the standard drop from episode 1.

I can’t see why the show wouldn’t get a couple more series, based just on audience. We shall see.

Beyond Paradise series 4 — 7-day audience figures

As in the case of Death in Paradise series 15, I’m going to just post the BARB 7-day audience figures for Beyond Paradise series 4 in one drop at the end of the run. Again, there will be a later post with these numbers alongside the 28-day figures.

The numbers

Commentary

My overall view is this is a very consistent set of numbers and nice to see the rise for the final episode. The 28-day figures will tell us more, but these look good. If we compare to the series 3 numbers, I was surprised to see these numbers are on the whole markedly lower. The 28-day numbers weren’t available when I was doing that series, so there won’t be a comparison for that.

It’s also the case Death in Paradise series 15 (link at top) attracted larger audiences, particularly the first episode. Again a side-by-side on the 28-day figures will be interesting.

The renewal for series 5 is already much suggested in various places, so clearly the overall numbers are enough for that. I will be back when the 28-day numbers appear.

UK Television viewers with a newish smart TV.
My old dad has had message come up on his TV about BARB viewing figures and how his viewing habits are being used to help with recording viewing figures and he can opt out by clicking on the appropriate option.

He had been telling us he was getting a strange message and I suggested he take a photo and let us see it. So he did.
I couldn't read the whole message but it mention #barb

Anyone else had this happen on their telly?
