A researcher at Tenable has discovered an issue that enables limited, unauthorized access to cross-tenant applications and sensitive data (including but not limited to authentication secrets). Background The issue occurred as a result of insufficient access control to Azure Function hosts, which are launched as part of the creation and operation of custom connectors in Microsoft’s Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automation).
Still more functions to migrate over, but I got a little distracted with setting up the domain for the new #LAHistoricalMarkers api. So not only is it live, but you can view/interact with it via #Swagger at https://api.lahistoricalmarkers.com
#AzureContainerApps require manual cert uploads for setting up a custom domain, which I thought was going to be a deal-breaker. Enter the #OpenSource community with an #AzureFunction that automates #LetsEncrypt with #AzureDNSZones. Maybe this should be a blog post?
Today wrapped up a piece of #Python in an #AzureFunction that relays updates back to #Pipelines, letting obsessive #DevOps like me watch the progress. Relatively easy but satisfying. Hard part was no proper documentation, just a thorough C# example I had to translate.
The function picks up CSV files, figures out their data, creates and populates tables in Snowflake (by the way.)
This may sound weird to some of you, but today, I spent more time being productive at work then I did being engaged with the Mastodon / federated community. Felt good! #powerbi (not my favorite, but it's paying bills!)
Tomorrow I'll be tweaking some #python to improve an #azurefunction that selects files and delivers them somewhere. (Vagueness for confidentiality!)
But I _am_ enjoying the community. Even if I cannot use #markdown in my posts like I really want to...
