Day one of the Urbanglass, MAGIC install. It was quite fun driving a box truck from NJ to downtown Brooklyn yesterday. I forgot how much I missed Art handling. Some fun students from Texas drove the box truck up for a weekend NYC adventure.

We got a bunch done today mounting a bunch of the burst backer. There are about 40 animating transformers back there so we can blink the 80 or so tubes. Really excited it's actually able to make it to Brooklyn!

Headed to a show an tell party tonight at a friend's house tonight. I was gonna bring a Rainbow Sunrise Doodle that I pumped in the kiln, but it fell off the table and broke right before I went out the door so I grabbed this helium double rainbow instead. Now I get to make the rainbow sunrise again :) I could have baked it out longer anyways.

Packing up my band of horses for their trip westward to Utah.

They are gonna go graze and frolic in a little mirrorized box gallery in a small town called "Helper". The mirrorization should help them extend on forever!

Currently programming a wifi access point control interface for viewers to participate in turning horses on and off. Also wanting to bend a pink dressage pony- hopefully tonight.

The ol Urethane foam cavity pack double box setup. Skimping a little on the amount of foam on the inner box (one less inch than normal on the outside) but feeling pretty confident. The small size of these little horses is convenient for packing :)

Two examples of packing for Art handlers and two of packing for common carriers (Fedex, or UPS).

One is cheaper to pack for. The other cheaper to ship. You choose your battles. It is kinda fun making boxes again though. Peanuts get everywhere, but they might be the cheapest insurance policy for double boxing.

One must be handled with care and the other is designed to be throwable :)

Spent the last two days packing up all the lines an letters to head to Texas. So nice to have Art handlers moving this- it makes the packing much easier (and cheaper). Art handlers don't throw the boxes :)

Giant boxes- its nice working with big sheets of cardboard and hot glue again. I only burned my finger once with the glue gun- worst burn in months. Kinda ironic with how often I work with fire.

@alifeeney did an amazing job with the letter boxes.

Opening tonight at Hannah Traore gallery, Soho, Manhattan

Deb Czeresko's show "Fruiting Bodies" where Deb furthers her decades long exploration of glass as an androgynous material by transforming the gallery space into a glass ecosystem and inviting you into it.
