Fast16는 2005년경부터 존재해온 정교한 악성코드 프레임워크로, LS-DYNA와 AUTODYN 시뮬레이션 소프트웨어 내 핵무기 고폭약 폭발 시뮬레이션을 조작하도록 설계되었다. 이 악성코드는 핵무기 연구를 방해하기 위해 우라늄 압축 시뮬레이션 결과를 인위적으로 낮춰 핵무기 설계의 정확성을 훼손한다. 다양한 버전의 시뮬레이션 소프트웨어에 맞춘 101개의 훅 규칙을 통해 장기간 표적 조직의 소프트웨어 업데이트를 추적하며 은밀하게 작동한다. 네트워크 내에서만 전파되도록 설계되어 외부 확산은 제한적이다.
