Early start on Waterfall Wednesday tonight. Admittedly not the most impressive waterfall, but remarkable for drought punished Santa Rosa. Normally this is a dry ravine.

For anyone who might be a local, this video was taken on Spring Creek Trail, Annadele State Park, Santa Rosa California.

To borrow a phrase from Julie Andrews, all of Spring Creek Trail is alive with the sound of running water. It makes the usual hike much more enjoyable with the new "soundtrack." Normally there is just a silent trickle in the creek bed.

Most of this water is headed for Santa Rosa Creek, which goes through downtown. Sadly, car-brained city leaders had it entombed in concrete in the 1960s.
