Some Galaxy Watch4 LTE units get One UI 6 Watch

Three months ago, Samsung have released the One UI 6 Watch for all the eligible smartwatches that include Galaxy Watch6, Watch5, and Watch4 in both the Bluetooth and the LTE variants. The rollout was very fast if you take a look at the surface level, with the rollout starting from the Galaxy Watch6 series.

After a long wait for users that didn’t get the One UI 6 Watch system for their Galaxy Watch4 LTE, we have finally spotted Samsung releasing this version of One UI for more Galaxy Watch4 LTE units in more countries, such as India.

To update your watch, open Galaxy Wearable on your phone and navigate to Watch settings > Watch software update > Download and Install. If you saw the One UI 6 update, you can now download it to your watch. However, if you still can’t get this update, wait for the update in the coming days or weeks, depending on your smartwatch and your country.

Some Galaxy Watch4 LTE units still haven’t received One UI 6 Watch

Three months ago, Samsung have released the One UI 6 Watch for all the eligible smartwatches that include Galaxy Watch6, Watch5, and Watch4 in both the Bluetooth and the LTE variants. The rollout was very fast if you take a look at the surface level, with the rollout starting from the Galaxy Watch6 series. Going deeper, we’ve noticed that the Galaxy Watch4 LTE users in different regions, most notably the Indian regions, still haven’t received the One UI 6 Watch update as of today.

In Australia, One UI 6 Watch for LTE variants for the Galaxy Watch4 smartwatch has been released back on January 14th, 2025, while the Bluetooth variant got it a month earlier on December 10th, 2024. All LTE smartwatches are supposed to receive the IXK1 update by now, but several regions, such as India, have not received the update yet and are still stuck on the HXB7 update that runs One UI 5 Watch which added a feature that allows you to see your workout status on Samsung televisions released on 2024.

In the coming weeks, we hope that the update will be released for such variants to finalize the rollout of One UI 6 Watch for the Galaxy Watch4 series released back on 2021. This is unusual, since it reminded us of some flagship devices that didn’t receive the One UI 6.0 update, such as the Galaxy Tab S8 and S9, until last February.
