It would be important to get my #mother in a nursing home. Her #health has gone worse drastically. We hope that my mother and #father could live into the same 24/7 care home. #Today there is a meeting to assess her service needs. @rockmastermike I was stunned to hear these were the causes most likely! I'm utterly horrified that Gene in advanced Alzheimer's Disease could potentially have known his wife died. Since he was still able to stand and walk, it is possible. And certainly in brief moments even with advanced dementia of some type, he could have had an awareness and that could have been all it took for the rest to kill him. #Alzheimer #AlzheimerSucks

One of the first times ever I got the tree up at Thanksgiving. Last year it was a week before Christmas. I will figure out how to get lots of tiny clear lights to outline the front windows and get lights inside the glass hutch with a hundred cobalt blue glass pieces on display, out of view in this photo. We are going very simple to make it less stressful for my son. No dinner or guests yesterday on Thanksgiving. This afternoon some family stopped by. Yay!#AlzheimerSucks

One whole hour Drew cursed out Ahmed for trying to get him to sit by the pool. He was yelling so loud an hour, sitting in his wheelchair. Then Ahmed called me out there - now Drew is happily sitting with his feet in the water. Drew is just chilling and chattering. @caregivers
