About / Menschenskind / Family Matters
Some time ago in a nearby galaxy, a child was born to a lovable man-child and his intelligent, no-nonsense wife. One day while exploring the garden, ki came across a two-way mirror on the wall which promised "You could marry the fairest of them all!" But the child didn't want to marry anyone. "You could BE the fairest of them all!" But the child was content with what ki was. "You could SEE the fairest of them all!"
That was interesting.
The mirror showed the child not one, but many faces, faces of all kinds of people and animals and plants. The mirror brought on gasps, laughter, tears and flappy hands all at once.
The beautiful wife, who was really a clever witch, feared being melted away by such pure emotions. With one hand, she advertised polarising narratives to the mirror. With the other, she reached for a bottle of poison. Just in Case. Meanwhile her husband, who in reality was neither loving nor childlike, got out his hunting rifle.

Far away on the other side of the channel, beyond the sea, there were a girl and a boy who loved each other. They were poor, the boy could die of deprivation and the girl could die of exposure.
Though he did not have a hearth nor any tools, the boy learned to tend the fire and weave stories into dress for his girl. And though the girl had no weapons and no basket, she braved the night to hunt and brought home nature's bounty for her boy.
But the rulers of that planet wanted all the light and all the fruits and all the warmth and all the meat and all the love just for themselves.
"Feed us!", they demanded, caged the girl like a bird and started plucking her feathers, one by one. The louder she screamed, the less did they listen.
"Warm our hearts!", they demanded of the boy, whipping packs of dogs and harshly bridled horses into pursuit. Despite the steel traps that clamped down on his Achilles' heels, he decided to run.

Beyond a doubt, the child will learn from three crafty pigs how to build a hearth and home.
From her innermost core, the girl's voice will rise up to the heavens.
Shaking free from undue burdens, the boy will fly around any globe to find her and only her.

"Did I do that?" 🤓
