This year's #StateOfAI survey had the question "What other questions do you wish the survey would've asked, if any?"
Here are my suggestions—I thought, I didn't want to keep them from you:
– How do you feel due to the fact that you are surrounded by #AI in your job and daily life?

If you don't like #AI, are an AI skeptic, or a #noAI supporter, you can participate as well and share your side of the story

When your #AI writes "the elephant in the room where it happens¹", it is not quirky, creative, funny, it's just autocomplete who has already forgotten about the elephant when its in the room.
¹ "elephant in the room" + "in the room where it happens", the latter being a quote from the Hamilton musical

Times of India | Google is testing AI chatbot search for YouTube: How you can access it
AI generated summary, Read the full article for complete information.
Google is testing a new conversational AI feature called “Ask YouTube” that lets users search for videos, get smart summaries, ask follow‑up questions and even plan trips without leaving the search results or video player. When enabled, a button appears in the search bar or beneath a video, offering a chat‑like experience and in‑video interaction. The tool is in a “Labs” phase, available to YouTube Premium subscribers aged 18 + in English, Hindi, Spanish, Portuguese, Korean, Arabic, Thai, Indonesian and Japanese, with testing running until 8 June 2026. Eligible users can opt in via the YouTube Labs page and use the feature on mobile, web, smart TVs and game consoles, though YouTube warns that AI‑generated responses may vary in quality and do not reflect the platform’s views.
Excellent article: “Students are not operating in leisurely academic spaces. […] many are balancing close to 50 hours a week between study, travel and paid work, with average employment hovering around 17 hours per week. […] AI does not feel like a shortcut. It feels like a flotation device.”
It’s important to recognise the lived reality of students in any discussion, especially one that is as emotive as AI usage in coursework. It’s soul destroying to read, takes up time we don’t have, but the story behind why a student has used it may be surprising.
