In the past, some Anglo Masto users were agitated more so than usual at the mention of #Ai skill levels. The OECD framework has standardised competency levels.
As applied to AI, these translate as;
L0 – Emerging: Can use AI only with significant guidance; struggles to assess outputs or formulate effective requests.
L1 – Basic: Uses AI for simple questions and routine tasks.
L2 – Functional: Uses AI independently for everyday work and learning.
L3 – Competent: Evaluates AI outputs critically and applies domain knowledge.
L4 – Advanced: Uses AI for complex analysis, problem-solving, and workflow design.
L5 – Expert: Creates AI-driven systems, methodologies, and strategic solutions while understanding limitations and risks.
Most, if not all #Aihaters fall into Leve 0 or Level 1 at best. It's not an insult. It's a statement of fact. You can't have competency in something you hate.
Using AI is a learned skill.
If you are unskilled, your competency is zero to low.
