I never had #trifle before moving to #NZ. I like trifle now, but only tried making it once, sloppily.

The kid, who is often indecisive or recalcitrant about stating food preferences, said he'd like trifle for Xmas, so I'm trying again this year.

I have most of the ingredients now except custard. I figure, bake cake on Friday, get custard on weekend, make jelly on Monday, then assemble it all on Tuesday?

I made a mistake and started doing proper pasta bolognese (although I added garlic and basil even though the recipe told me not to) and didn’t realize that it takes 2-3 hours to cook. I’m hungry now though so I gotta make something quick to fix that problem and then I can eat again later.

Also I gotta say, I’m making it with red wine and it smells friggin amazing so I assume when the time comes this’ll all be worth it in the end. It has to be. Everything depends on it.

Nu ik m'n ADHD-label eindelijk op m'n voorhoofd heb (plaats genoeg!) snap ik waarom ik dit koffiezetapparaat niet had moeten kopen. Wat ik niet zie vergeet ik al gauw, dus zeker een keer per maand staat het hele aanrecht onder een laag koffie omdat ik nieuwe zet terwijl de kan nog half vol was van gisteren, drink ik een goor mengsel van oude en verse koffie, of ik vergeet (heel soms) de koffie op te drinken die ik net gezet heb.
Volgende keer weer een glazen kan!
