gmcIt took me all of today, but I now have a flat-shaded low-poly (and absolutely not geometrically accurate) model of the #ABC80 home computer with peripherals in #Blender, to be part of the intro sequence of my #RetroComputing #PeerTube channel.
@hp That would be this 5.25" floppy that came with the #Luxor #ABC80 that's next to my work desk. I have no clue what's on it, I haven't gotten around to connecting the floppy drive yet. The whole thing is just standing there awaiting renovation of the retro room. Once that's done I can properly test the machine. I just unpacked it for a cursory check that it turned on after shipping.
Looks like the ABC80 survived the trip in one piece. Haven't turned it on yet, but no cracks or rattling. And of course, only the best: Swedish quality diskettes from Kopparberg!
I miss that, the small scale, national computer industries. Today, it's all boring same-old-same-old stuff from multinational conglomerates, no creativity, no diversity, just one homogenous boring mass.

Peter KreftingDigital archaeology is fun, I had forgot I ported this #ABC80 to #Commodore64 until recently, and wanted to compare it to the original.
I just spent a hefty chunk of money buying this beaty, an ABC80 homecomputer. A Swedish classic. And it comes with a dual-floppy unit and a bunch of discs. How could I pass on this one?
But now my husband is a bit annoyed that I bought yet another 50 year old computer, and he told me I'd better get him a Philips NMS 8220 MSX 2 machine.
Only trouble is, they're a bit hard to find. So please help me save my marriage and let me know if you find one for sale :)

Damn, there's an ABC 80 on auction right now. It's a late 70s / early 80s Swedish home computer that I'd like to get my hands on. I'm just not in a position to join the frantic bidding on it right now, plus it's 'pick up only' in Malmö, which is about a days worth of driving. Afraid I'm gonna have to let this one pass (and kick myself later for letting this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity go by).
