Klik & Play is supposedly compatible with the Mac II.
It works in MiniVMac (Mac II).
There's a homebrew MiniVMac (Mac II) port for the Nintendo 3DS.
Therefore Klik & Play can be run on the Old 3DS
I've tried and succeeded at running the Mac version of Klik & Play on my Old 2DS.
Now I can gamedev action games on my Old 2DS.
Finally got around to hacking my 3DS so that I can have Pico8 running on a pocketable handheld.
so I forked ctrmus and I added a feature where you can press ZL or ZR to skip backwards or forwards one track. works with the lid closed. and it didn't have autoplay so I added that too.
interface is still, y'know, white text on a black background. but hey!!! I have a working mp3 player now :3
this is the first time in recent memory that I've forked an open source project! it feels kinda good.
Finally I have taken the time to try out the OpenLara port for the 3DS. π
I installed OpenLara to my 3DS and played around with the only supported Tomb Raider game from the Tomb Raider series the first Tomb Raider 1 from 1994. π
The only thing that's a bit off is that there's seems to be missing some of the audio more specifically I can't hear Lara's voice in the training area that's in her mention, but at least the subtitles are visible. π
It's aliiiveeee
And I can also use the standard library which means the ECS I am making works in it
I don't know if you're gonna be FORCED to update your 3DS with this new update (that Nintendo seriously just put out now, MONTHS after closing the eshop), but if you're into the homebrew stuff and you can avoid updating, looks like it's best to avoid it. I'm certainly going to try and avoid it, I was going to try some homebrew stuff and haven't yet. Friggin Nintendo. https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2023/05/nintendo-is-still-trying-to-patch-hacking-exploits-for-the-defunct-3ds
