I just merged a pull request from github user jeffqchen (https://github.com/jeffqchen) on my 386 QFP to PGA adapter: https://github.com/hkzlab/386DX_QFP_PGA_Adapter/tree/main/3D_Print

They added a wonderful 3D printable jig to ease the soldering on the pins at the bottom of the adapter.
Should you need to build one, this is probably the way to go

UK-based 3D printing company Photocentric has spun out its space manufacturing activities into a separate business called CosmicMaker. The spinout follows successful demonstrations of its 3D printing technology aboard parabolic flights, where three CosmicMaker printers produced parts while experiencing microgravity. Notably, ceramic materials printed better in microgravity because gravity did not pull heavier particles downward. https://3dprint.com/326832/photocentric-spins-out-cosmicmaker-to-pursue-in-space-manufacturing/ #3Dprint #3Dprinting #IndustrialAM

It can be dangerous if the cables on a standing desk get caught during height adjustion.

For this #FreeCADFriday, I have prepared a simple cable chain to prevent such accidents.

The models are, as always, created with @freecad and parameterized. They can be adjusted to your needs.

Researchers at Chalmers University in Sweden have developed a biodegradable 3D printing material made from baker's yeast, wood cellulose fibers, seaweed alginate, vegetable glycerol and water. The hydrogel could replace construction materials like plastic, plaster or synthetic textiles - a biodegradable alternative from organic byproducts. https://www.3dnatives.com/en/3d-printing-yeast-12062026/ #3Dprint #3Dprinting #MaterialsInnovation
