Am letzten Freitag hatte ich meinen, mit einem 3D-Drucker hergestellten, CD Flip Ständer vorgestellt. Seit letztem Donnerstag wird jetzt jeden Tag ein Ständer fertig gestellt bis alle unsere CDs ein würdevolles Plätzchen bei unserer Schallplattensammlung bekommen. Warum schreibe ich das am heutigen #diday? Nun, ich habe noch nie einen Streamingdienst für Musik benutzt. Ich finde es halt schöner meine/unsere Musik zu hören ohne jedes mal erneut dafür bezahlen zu müssen. Also ist das auch ein Teil von digitaler Unabhängigkeit von merkwürdigen Diensten. Old school halt. Für mobiles Streamen ist ein großer Teil der CDs gerippt worden und begleitet mich auf meinem Smartphone.

A little delayed gratification for LAST week's #FreeCADFriday: My rotating Labubu Holder for up to 8 Labubus (or other things you can hang). Took a while to manufacture because my printer decided to fuck off in that general direction --> with its hotend (the hotend lost screws and essentially bent) so I had to wait for replacement, but now the screw tolerances are flawless. 100.0% 3D printed!

Heute auch mal etwas Produktives.
Unsere CD-Sammlung war zu mehreren unregelmäßigen Turmbauten verkommen. Die CD-Flipp Ständer die es in den umliegenden Fachgeschäften gibt gefallen mir grad nicht. Der Klappwinkel ist zu klein. 2 alte Ständer in unserem Besitz hatten einen anderen Klappwinkel, 20° nach hinten und 30° nach vorne. Die Halterung der einzelnen Fächer waren entsprechend geformt. Da ich einen 3D-Drucker besitze, fing ich an, einen Ständer mit ähnlichen Halterungen mit #FreeCAD zu konstruieren. Wegen der Größenbeschränkung der Druckplatte ist die Konstruktion auf 10 CD's beschränkt. Gestern den ersten CD-Flipper gedruckt und heute gibt es den zweiten. Druckzeit ca. 8h.

It's #FreeCADFriday! Designed and printed a cover for the on/off button and a cover for the long E2000APC lens on the fiber optic microscope. Keeping it assembled and ready to use, means it will get used more often. And no more dead battery, because the device turned itself on in the bag.

At more than 500€ for just the lens, one would think #Exfo would include the lens cap, but the original cover is simply to short. It only takes 21g of PLA.

Including the software upgrade process to latest @freecad 1.1.0 it took less than an hour for both to design.

It’s very satisfying loading that thing.

However, on the long slide at the bottom of the AA battery compartment, the batteries sometimes turn sideways as they roll down and get stuck. About 10 or so have to be loaded from the front, but then it works well.

A little early for #FreeCadFriday but hey, it's almost Friday in Europe! A friend is downsizing and gifted me his spindle sander. I designed a "Y" splitter and downloaded a ball gate from PeterH1500 on Printables. This afternoon I assembled the result.

It's a branch off the dust system, which is just to the left in the photo. "It sucks good!!"

@svetzal you can see part of the remains of my "Canada on Rails" T-shirt at the top of the photo.
