@FreeCAD Working on our arcade's digital toilet status sign project (I posted pictures of the signs themselves earlier), I finally made the switch to detect the door lock's dead bolt. I originally considered optical switch, but I had a boxful of these pinball micro switches and they're pretty reliable.

I made a cradle for the switch, dremelled the door frame a bit and then hid it all there. Checking with a DMM, it appears to work great.

The latest #3D project for Jayne was a set of finials for dowels which hold fibre art for display. This is the second version, which meets the SAF. Designed for a standard 3/8" dowel, the #FreeCad file is easily modified for other diameters.

@FreeCAD I made a magnetic enclosure for my Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W.

It allows me to stick @octoprint right to the 3D printer. 🙌

It's #FreeCADFriday hope everyone is having a peaceful wonderful day.

For #FreeCADFriday (UTC), I have some silly little potentiometer shaft fridge magnets. They let me try out different control layouts to see if there's room to turn a pot without bumping another one, and what controls a patch cable will obstruct.

This kit has already gotten very heavy use as I plan out the panels for my first group of DIY #eurorack modules. I expect I'll keep growing my own set of these, to make design checkout super easy.

I present to you: My sticker organizer!

This year's Congress will show whether this works. I felt it would be a nice addition to a messy sticker box.

@FreeCAD I did a quick fix on my freezer yesterday.

There is a shelf in the freezer compartment that tended to fall off each time you looked at it sideways.

So I quickly drafted and printed a retainer in #FreeCAD. Problem solved! 😁

I've been using @FreeCAD for some time for design and analysis. For my latest video I also used it for visualisations. Using a 3D mouse like a joystick I could swoop the aircraft around on the screen to demonstrate the possible instability modes! #freecadfriday

This #FreeCADFriday I can present a relatively quickly thrown-together Model that allows me to rest my Thrustmaster T.16000M FCS Footpedals against the wall without hitting it while braking and also without them shifting due to the inexplicably rounded front...
