KC-135E 1:500 - SLA 2

The KC-135E, a legacy tanker variant of the Stratotanker family, primarily featured the TF33-PW-102 turbofan engines which provided increased thrust compared to the original J57 turbojets, enhancing its capability for aerial refueling operations. This model retained the flying boom system and served as a vital force multiplier before its eventual retirement, leveraging its robust airframe design for decades of service. Here’s what each label means: - FDM: Printed on an FDM machine. These versions have lower detail, no panel lines, no engine blades, and use thicker walls. - SLA 1: Printed on an SLA machine. These include antennas, include engine blades, have thinner walls, but still do not have panel lines. - SLA 2: Same as SLA 1, but with added panel lines for higher surface detail.

3D printing has brought ancient Rome back to life in St. Louis. Printerior used 30 Bambu Lab H2S printers to recreate a life-size segment of Trajan's Column for the Saint Louis Art Museum's Roman exhibit. What would have taken nearly two months of traditional print time was completed in just a few days.

3D printing with ceramics is winning over new industries. At this week's Ceramics Expo USA in Cleveland, experts discussed how heat- and corrosion-resistant ceramic parts could transform aerospace, space stations and fuel cells. The big advantage: less weight and volume - precious in space missions. https://3dprint.com/325884/ceramic-3d-printing-applications-on-display-at-ceramics-expo-usa/ #3Dprint #3Dprinting #Materials

Still constantly impressed with the printing performance of the Ender 3 V3 SE, for less than $200 it's gotta be one of the best bang/buck ratios in 3d printing.

For context, this section of bridging is over 50mm and it's nearly perfect.
