#China's #CCP demolishes the convenient lie known as the #1992consensus: According to Beijing, this means that there can only be one China without any interpretation of what that China exactly is.
So this consensus now means #submission for #Taiwan. The #KMT and it's allies from the pan-blue camp should take a pause and think about this: Does it want to assist in this?
Or does it want to join the pan-green camp in resisting this attempt to suffocate #freedom? #FarEast

KMT defends ‘consensus’ following Chinese article

台北時報

Could somebody tell the #KMT and #EricChu that #foreignpolicy and the factual #sovereignty of #Taiwan are no partisan issues and that their brown-nosing of #Beijing is not a policy that will gain them any support at home or at elections?

That #1992consensus has been exposed as a lie years ago - no need to pander to that crap. Seriously: Work for the best of Taiwan or get lost!

Eric Chu’s ties to CCP raise more trust issues - Taipei Times

When asked why the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) did not send him a congratulatory message until the day after being elected chairman of the Chinese Nationalist Party (KMT), Eric Chu (朱立倫) said that the timing of the letter was “a joint decision” by him and the CCP, a response that stunned everyone. Chu, who lost the presidential election in 2016, is trying to stage a comeback to pave the way for a presidential bid in 2024, so it is quite surprising to see that his political wisdom has declined so incredibly fast. What other surprises can we expect from secret agreements

Holy crap. By electing #EricChu as its new chairman, the #KMT has chosen to side with #Beijing rather than with the people of #Taiwan.
By replying to #XiJinping's letter in a servile manner and even mentioning the #1992consensus as a standard propaganda catchword, Chu has positioned the KMT as Beijing's #5thcolumn within Taiwan.

KMT = Kill Many Taiwanese

Hard to believe that the #KMT as #Taiwan's former ruling authoritarian party is still backing #fiction.
The #1992consensus is a proven lie that was brought up by a KMT official to hurt the DPP's presidential candidate back in 2000.
The KMT still is a Chinese and not a Taiwanese party. If it insists on continuing like that, it will disappear into irrelevance, as 90% of the Taiwanese do not wish a unification of any kind with #China.

KMT = Kill Many Taiwanese.
