yearly power on of my OG #C64. I measured power source just before to make sure I am not burning anything. #1541ii is also OG and got some light head cleanup before. It all works like in 1992 when I got it second hand from happy German boy who replaced it by #a1200.

Das EasyGate1541 jetzt auch für die 1541-II

Das EasyGate1541 war bisher nur für die “alte” 1541 erhältlich. Die spätere 1541-II bekam von Commodore ein anderes Gate-Array, das noch mehr Funktionalitäten integriert hat. Es war an der Zeit, dass eine Alternative geschaffen wurde.

The day was a complete success. My father had his own little journey through time. First we loaded Rainbow Island from the floppy and then played Wheel of Fortune for a while. During the course of the day my father cooked and while we were eating we watched an old episode of Wheel of Fortune and talked about the good old days.

Update on #C64 purchases: The #floppydrive #1541ii & the #BubbleBobbleCollection have arrived. However, the drive was missing the data cable, so I couldn't connect the drive to the #c64c & had to order a new cable for €10.
