#242 Shuffling Cards

Some leftover sketches on a Friday.
It has been about a year since I started work on Solitaire, over that time I learned how to use #GTK, Rust, and gtk-rs. I also worked with others in the #GNOME community, and it has been a great learning experience.
I am excited to announce that Solitaire is now on #Flathub!
Here's what I changed right before release:
• Made cards get unhighlighted upon a move
• Fixed a bug where cards would be off-center
You can get Solitaire at https://flathub.org/apps/org.gnome.gitlab.wwarner.Solitaire
Stumbled upon another good example of a simple WordPress website theme causing scrolling performance problems in the latest version of GNOME Web (Epiphany), so I profiled the heck out of it with about 3.6 gigabytes of @WebKitGTK debug symbols installed: https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=310814

The GNOME 50 release of our Calendar app also brings a very nice accessibility change: it’s now possible to navigate through events via the keyboard! ⌨️
In addition, many accessibility labels have been updated to improve the overall experience with screen readers.
Thanks to @TheEvilSkeleton and @zoeyTheWitch for making this happen!

“So what does the GNOME Foundation do, anyway?”
So much work is behind the scenes—and frankly, in the past the Foundation has not been as efficient as it could have been.
With the relaunched Friends of GNOME and now the Fellowship program, I hope it’s obvious what the role of the Foundation can and should be.
I’m super proud of the GNOME Foundation board for putting this together. And I am forever grateful to the Friends of GNOME who make this possible. ❤️

This is a testament to the GNOME Foundation's ramp up in maturity, and that GNOME folks have their heart in the right place.
1. Use donations to fund people working on GNOME and dependencies.
2. Focus on sustainability and not bells and whistles.
This is entirely fueled by our donations. If you want a direct pipeline between your money and GNOME development, this is it.
Big news! Today we’re launching the GNOME Fellowship: funded positions for contributors to work on the GNOME project’s long-term sustainability. 🎉
We are starting with one 12-month fellowship; applications are open through April 20.
