I got the cutest little Wesley Crusher sweater ornament from my crafty friend, who has them available for pre-order in her shop: https://shop.miriamfelton.com/product/tiny-wesley-crusher-sweater

It’s so freaking cute and I love it!! #StarTrek

Tiny Wesley Crusher Sweater

Made with my own pattern, each sweater is handknit by myself with a wool or wool blend yarn to most closely approximate the sweater worn by Wesley...

@grvsmth I’m so sorry!! Kids can be so awful to each other.
@Redmenace I'm wondering the same thing (so have no answers for you, alas!)
@grvsmth Me too! He's such a sweet kid and it breaks my heart that other boys are mean to him about his friendships with my kid and a few other girls.
@raclaw it’s so depressing! I mean, I’m proud of her for recognizing this pattern and being able to articulate it but…I really wish it wasn’t something she needed to think about.
Bleh, it sucks watching everything go back to in-person this last year after actually being able to attend a bunch of cool things virtually during the first year or two of the pandemic

Kiddo shared with me her heuristic for finding the "nicest boy" in her classes: find the boy who is already friends with another girl. This is apparently rare enough that there's only one such boy in each class she's been in so far and all of the other boys make fun of that boy for befriending girls. Ugh, why??
@violinknitter Yeah, boosting without commentary just feels so alien to me. I hope someday we can do it in a way that doesn't lead to the negative impacts that I know they're trying to avoid by not having it.
@_dmh I honestly never figured out tumblr! I was always just so confused trying to figure who had *actually* created whatever post I was reading at the time!
