Still gotta knit the thumb, but look, I finally managed to do the thumb increases correctly AND do the right number of rows in each color on these Joy Mitts I’m #knitting for my friend!

Oh, Duolingo. I somehow doubt I’ll ever actually need to talk about women who marry hedgehogs in Finnish! (Yes, I’m learning #finnish, as well as several others, just for fun and sheer curiosity!)

Size 10.5 #knitting needles feel so huge in my hands! Sure does knit up quickly, though. The #yarn is Knitpicks Wonderfluff, and the project is a “Professor Meow” pullover for my child who is utterly OBSESSED with cats. (Hoping to finish it by her birthday on the 26th!)

Just sitting here on election night feeling like an anxious wreck because, you know, fate of the nation/my kid’s future and all, but I do have a VERY loudly purring cat on my lap so some things are good in this world.

Here’s what the Joy Mitts look like today. Had to rip mitt 2 back to the cuff last night after I realized I’d done the thumb increases wrong. Oh, #knitting. Keeps me humble :)

Just #knitting a pair of Joy Mitts for a friend while my #cat snuggles me. Fabric scraps at my feet are remnants of a #sewing project with the kiddo. Still have a lot of housework that needs done but this is a lovely way to spend part of a Sunday.

Still not really sure what I’m doing here, but hey, have a picture of a cat who is VERY happy that I’m sitting in the Poang chair tonight. So snuggly!
