The most wonderful thing just happened at Target. Was walking by the books section and heard a lady talking to her kids… in #Finnish!

I asked if she was speaking Finnish and she lit up. “OMG how did you know?”

Anyway we had a super long conversation. She invited me to Finnish Conversation Groups in Portland.

Even the organizer to the group is a colleague of mine at Nike! She told me to reach out to her.

Ahh so excited! 🇫🇮

Edit: This story just got even crazier! My friend knows the colleague.

Day 4 of recovering from trip. Today is not good because at midnight I discovered the cat had peed on a bunch of stuff in the hall and I'd lost my amitriptaline.

So I'm only up for language learning apps. But I discovered that Finnish names many of their months after something relevant to that time of year.
