Mastodon doesn’t have a “watch post” feature, but imagine another #ActivityPub server such as #wordpress were to implement it…

Which interaction would you prefer / make most sense to trigger a watch?

c4.social was just updated to the first known deployment of Ecko, Magic Stone's newly named fork of #Mastodon. Registration is open if you want to test it out.

In the coming weeks we'll be working through issues in the tracker including making it work on Yunohost!

Watch https://github.com/magicstone-dev/ecko for updates.

Anyone want to help define or code an API for Mastodon to talk to a web-of-trust-based moderation server? https://github.com/weex/wot-server/issues/10
Problem: We haven't defined an API for Mastodon to use · Issue #10 · weex/wot-server

A basic API would be one that allows storing trust ratings (Alice has a trust value of 100.0 for Bob) and retrieving a calculated trust score (Should Alice trust Charlie?). Requests should be signe...

In the interest of furthering standards discussion and development on the Fediverse, I'm proposing a change to SocialHub.

Move FEP under a new Standards category

I suggest we create a new Standards category on this forum and move Fediverse Enhancement Proposals under it. My reasoning stems from the FEP process’s stated goal: The goal of a FEP is to improve interoperability and well-being of diverse services, applications and communities that form the Fediverse. While the Fediverse and ActivityPub are often associated, it’s good to think of them independently if interoperability and well-being are primary. AP could be used outside of the Fediverse bu...

Creating a new pod for the diaspora* fork and I'm not sure what to call it. Any ideas? Maybe a domain name you were saving for who knows when?

What's the best way to "unstuck" a pull request?

Introducing C4Social

Hello, this is a post about a new project called C4Social. Mission: We are creating magic through evolution of the Fediverse That C4 in the name there doesn’t refer to that grey plastic stuff that goes boom in the movies. It’s short for Collective Code Construction Contract. Aa contract, a protocol, a set of rules to a game we’re playing, C4 is for making accurate software on the internet. Who defines accurate? The market does. We’re all part of different markets, the supermarket where we g...
