Two books arrived today that I am very excited about, but for different reasons.

Thanks to @vicgbuswell in the audience, photographic proof that I was in Inverness last week presenting at the #UKDNAWG24 meeting - the conference programme is on https://www.ukeof.org.uk/our-work/ukdna/2024-ukdnawg-conf as a PDF.

The tables of in-silico primer amplification versus taxononomic lineage shown were generated with https://github.com/peterjc/picobio/blob/master/primer_selection/isPcr_lineage_report.py and sister scripts. This was work done for a #NaturalEngland project, looking at #metabarcoding primer biases for terrestrial invertebrates - release of formal report pending.
