I keep remembering a conversation with this guy, while I was showing my art, and I mentioned how other countries prioritized funding for art and culture.

He said "I don't think I want my taxes to pay for someone to just play around with art".

I replied with "I don't want my taxes to pay for guns and bombs".

This seemed to shock him. First, that we had different priorities, and second that he didn't think I paid taxes. HA! Like seriously, how could he think I wasn't paying taxes.
