Today I passed by what remains of my home… the rubble that was once filled with life, warmth, and laughter.
Every time I walk past it, I return carrying heavy pain in my heart, but this time was different…
Among the broken stones and dust, I found photos of my late husband 💔
It felt as if I was losing him all over again, as if it were the very first day of our loss.
My daughter and I came back in tears, trying to gather what was left of our memories, but even our memories are shattered like the ruins around us.
People tell me, “Be patient”… but does anyone truly know how grief slowly destroys the body?
Can anyone really feel the pain of a mother who lost her home, her safety, her life partner, and every beautiful detail of her life?
How much longer will we remain displaced?
No home to shelter us, no safety to calm our children’s hearts, and even the photos of our loved ones were not spared by this war…
We have become people searching through the rubble for the remaining pieces of our souls. 💔🇵🇸

Tomorrow we welcome Eid al-Adha… a holiday we used to wait for every year with joy and happiness, gathering with our families and seeing smiles on our children’s faces.
But for the past three years, Eid in Gaza has lost all its meaning… the sounds of celebration have disappeared, replaced only by grief and funerals. 💔
Our children have been deprived of the simplest joys… new Eid clothes and even the small gifts of money they used to eagerly wait for every year.
Even a smile has become difficult amid fear, hunger, exhaustion, and displacement.
Hear my voice… and the voice of every mother in Gaza.
We are living in conditions that no human being should ever endure, trying only to protect our children and keep hope alive despite everything.
