A question for the wine lovers out there: What are your thoughts on Vermouth?
I don't have it often, but I enjoy it from time to time. I'd love to check out some vermuterias in Spain. I recently enjoyed this rosé Vermouth from Uruguay. It's unique, with Tannat as the base wine, and very well made.

#cooking with #leeks from the #garden again. Tonight it’s Berkshire pork chops with creamed leeks. Served with rosemary & garlic scape roasted potatoes and green beans (fresh from the garden). Paired with a 2010 Rolly Gassmann Riesling, which is absolutely amazing!#gardentotable #delicious #wine
One of the wine clubs I subscribe to is Troon Vineyards in Oregon. They included some sunflower seeds from their gardens with one of their shipments this year. I had to plant them and the first flower has emerged! It totally brightens up our garden. Thanks to @craigcamp and the team at Troon. #gardening
This is the first year I’ve grown leeks in my garden, but it won’t be the last. A couple days ago I harvested a couple and cooked them up with plenty of butter and cream, then served them with crispy skin salmon, roasted asparagus and a Foris Pinot Gris. Fantastic! #gardening #cooking #delicious
I've written about Domaine Bousquet several times in the past. They generally produce good wines and I admire their sustainability practices (ROC, B Corp, Fair for Life, etc.) But this wine really struck my palate. A step up to greatness.

Regenerative Organic Certified (ROC) is one of the most important certifications in agriculture from my point of view. Yet, only a handful of wine producers have earned it so far.
I just published a review of Bonterra Pinot Noir. Bonterra recently got certified under the ROC program.
I'll certainly be reviewing more of their wines, in addition to those from other ROC producers, like Troon Vineyard, Tablas Creek and Domaine Bousquet.
