Just implemented some basic global alignment for Poly but alignment isn't exactly my forte.

Are there any really good corner cases that I should be testing for or is this as straight forward as it seems?

adding new alignment package and global alignment via Needleman-Wunsch by TimothyStiles · Pull Request #288 · TimothyStiles/poly

Poly needs a basic alignment algo to compare sequences. Needleman-Wunsch is about as basic as it gets as far as I know and its implementation is only 70 lines or so. I'm a little unsure of what sor...

@sluongng 99% agree but sometimes adding tags to memes feels weird.

Feels similar to awkwardly explaining a joke that didn't land after the fact.

what's the most effective way to meme on this pachyderm app?

I know that it's designed for *not* this but I need an outlet for my chaotic energy.

Hello all!

I'll post an official introduction (hopefully) in the coming days, but for now I'm keeping it short as I emigrate from Twitter to Mastodon (and specifically to genomics.social thanks to @tim).

In the meantime, please enjoy this punny "ugly sweater" I made for our holiday party!

Wanted to throw out an intro here~I'm Guy, one of the founders of https://www.scifind.net/, an expert network where scientists go to troubleshoot experimental problems. It's an #openaccess tacit knowledge database (a "lab-rary" 😅) of tips, negative results, optimizations, discussions, methods (stuff that's not in publication really helps get your experiments to work!) Show some love ❤️, take a look, make a post and help out :D #openscience #introduction #ScienceMastodon #biology #synbio #science

Allow me to reintroduce myself on this pachyderm app.

I sell open source synthetic biology software and open source synthetic biology software accessories.
