@marcoarment @siracusa The Mac Pro dies twice: first, when Apple discontinues it, second, when its name is spoken by John for the last time.
I was feeling down, major case of the Sundays, plus… you know, everything. Well, today is my turn to pick the family’s Sunday matinee, and I’ve decided what will make me feel better is watching Indy punch some Nazis. This will be the kids’ first viewing.

At Myke’s suggestion, I have accomplished something truly beautiful*, an episode of Connected played via floppy disk

*a waste of several hours

"And some people say 'These people, they're not even trying to be British. They come here, they bring their own culture, their food, speak their own language, and try to take over the whole bloody place.'

Dunno. Sounds pretty British to me."

The MacBook Neo is such an interesting machine that it coaxed a thousand-word-essay out of me: https://samhenri.gold/blog/20260312-this-is-not-the-computer-for-you/

Oh, and here's one from just a few minutes earlier that is full of satellite streaks 😭

Remembering the event which happened 30 years ago today, and which changed Scotland forever. The families of those involved campaigned hard to make it much more difficult for such an event to ever happen here again, and undoubtedly thanks to them so far it has not. The changes in the laws they fought so hard to achieve should never be undone as they help make all our lives, but especially those of our children, safer.

Hello dear fediverse,

I’m Osden, a visual artist (sculpture, installation, video, & more) deeply interested in human/non-human relationships, art as speculative fiction, more just futures, ecological responsibility, and place-responsive & community engaged art.

I’m masc-leaning & non-binary, pansexual; Mad & chronically ill; a uni prof in studio art; kinda wordy; and go by Sheri as a professional/public pseudonym.

Cycling, hiking, seed harvesting, seed bombs, DIY community projects, & harm reduction are some of my great loves. I’m nerdy about native plants & hide-tanning; forever in awe of nature.

Doing my best to enact care in the face of so much local and global injustice. 🆓 🇵🇸

"Undercover police officers spied on the justice campaign run by the family of Jean Charles de Menezes, the innocent man shot dead by police on the tube in 2005, the #SpyCops public inquiry has heard.

"The surveillance took place while the grieving family was seeking to hold the Metropolitan police to account and uncover the truth of why officers had mistaken him for a suicide bomber when they shot him seven times in the head."
