My new untamed...pose isn't quite right...

If it wasn’t for alcohol I wouldn’t be the man you see here today.

My parents were sh!t-faced- drunk when I was conceived.

The cat just went over to the HomePod mini on my desk, meowed at it, and Siri said "sure here is some music for you" and the cat perched on the window sill listening to Garbage and Elliott Smith.

I just want to know how long this has been going on.

Raising taxes on billionaires and their companies that pay zero taxes, an idea with a large margin of popular support, is not on the table for Republicans. Cutting Medicare and Social Security, which has no public support, however, surely is.

Also, while Trump was President, the debt limit was raised with clean bills three times, while he ran up record deficits. Does Kevin McCarthy think our memories are that short?

I’m not sure everyone understands how truly catastrophic a government default on our debt would be to the U.S. There seems to be this perception that it is just a slightly more egregious version of a government shutdown, which is definitely not the case.

Again, we see a Republican Party that has no meaningful policy agenda. Nothing to offer in service to the nation or the common good.

What is the debt ceiling, and what happens if the U.S. hits it?

If the government defaults on its debt, it is not going to be very pretty.

Here's the piece I was looking for about the FTC announcing it would start a rule making banning non-competes.

For almost 40 years the #FTC has shied away from making bright line rules and instead singling out individual companies to set an example. Rules are far more effective, which is why conservatives in the judiciary stopped this practice.

This FTC is trying to bring rulemaking back. The metastory behind the proposed ban is more important than the ban itself.

FTC Ban on Noncompetes Sets Up Huge Legal Fight

The agency used its dormant rulemaking authority to prohibit the wage suppression tactic. Conservatives are already positioning to fight the rule in the courts.

What have we become as a political party when 20 people can rule 200 others against their will. Certainly not conservative. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/conservative-heavyweights-call-new-house-gop-leadership-mccarthy-failed-clinch-house-speaker

Well, I made a regular salad, then stabbed it twenty-three times.
