Folks, I’ve said this before but since it doesn’t sink in, if you want Democrats to do things you want, you have to vote for Democrats and give them actual power, more power than whatever you think “slowing things down” is going to do.

And you have to do that a lot more than once.

You have to consistently vote to keep Democrats in power so they can actually use the power you think they have to stop Trump or Republicans or whatever you think they should be doing.

A year or two isn’t it.

I’ve done lots of work as a #DEI consultant, and heard all the associated complaints and fear-mongering, and the best response I ever heard was probably also the simplest:

“DEI is not lowering the bar, it is widening the gate.”

If you’re the best of the best, you’ll still rise to the top - all DEI does is allow everyone the opportunity to try. People who yell about DEI are simply announcing their insecurity about how their skills stack up in a larger pool.

America just showed that it will actively punish politicians sticking to the norms & upholding morality while rewarding the most outlandish corruption.

Everyone has the right to vote, or not vote, however they want.

That right comes with the requirement that you accept responsibility for the consequences of that vote.

You don't get to say "I did this to send a message" or "my vote means X".

When you made your choice, you did so knowing what the consequences of that choice were.

What you want your choice to "mean" is simply not relevant.

There is only one thing that your choice means: "I support the outcome that this vote supports"
