They will be on the new domain selfhostable.net, where my blog shall also be moving too.

@thelinuxEXP So this kind of depends what I'm doing tbh. If I'm making it for myself then LibreOffice is my goto. However if I am submitting it to something more formal then I usually make it in LibreOffice but review it is MS Office Online

My #blog is back up and running using #ghost and #mysql now on the updated version because hey, if I had to redo everything why not update the whole shebang.

I rewrote a few of my old posts and will hopefully have all my old posts back soon when I write them. And new posts on the new services that I have started running.

Today I found out why you make #backup of your stuff before you mess with production.

For my blog I decided to move from #mariadb to #mysql because #ghost dropped support for mariadb recently. So I made a quick copy of the data to a new folder. Forgetting that mysql is sensitive to changes in permissions.

So when it failed to move from mariadb to mysql and trying to revert the permissions where broken and as such I lost everything. So now I am rewriting all of my blog entries which I wrote before.

Don't mess with production, make a backup and mess with that.

@thelinuxEXP I would expect that he would do something similar to the "Freedom Phone" which was basically just android on rebranded already made phones and then slapped there own appstore onto it. But hey I would love to see him try, let twitter become even more a dumpsterfire than it already is.

Just published a guide on how to use Caddy with Authentik authentiction. Quick writeup as I found it hard to find the info myself so I hope it helps incase anybody was thinking of setting something similar up.

@deliverance my suggestion would be check your local marketplace for second hand enterprise gear. Something in the Dell Rx30 series is 2016 which isn’t incredibly old and supports up to intel Xeon v4 cpus so you can get quiet some power out of them and they aren’t basically space heaters. Would recommend going Dell of HP due to HP’s proprietary bullshit. And atleast in the Dutch market you can find something like an R530(my server) with 2 CPU’s and 64GB of RAM for something like 300 euros. Which for the power it provides is a steal.

A post on how to setup Caddy Logging with Crowdsec Firewall.

Crowdsec with Caddy Log Parsing

Crowdsec is an Open-Source, Open-Community threat intelligence platform which uses crowdsourced cyberthreat information to be able to provide it's user with a globally backed threat defense system. It combines multiple components including parsers, which parse logs to generate alerts, bouncers which reject connections when there found to be in the
