Finally finished my complete chronological watch through of #StarTrek. It took 2 years.

I decided the only appropriate ending was #GalaxyQuest.

This is my "it's a #SnowDay in #Newfoundland, everything is closed, and I didn't go to the store" lunch.

Some devious marketing from a well known big box store.

If you just glance at this you're probably going to think "Only $6 for 3 name-brand non-stick pans!"

No. No no.

That's the amount you 'save.'

But the word "save" is smaller than the dollar number. And the price calculation is so small it might as well not exist.

The average person will just see the dollar number and the product picture.

Just because the information is there doesn't mean the advertising isn't deceptive.

Well, I've been tempted to get a #pizza steel for a while now. I could never justify spending money to replace a perfectly good pizza stone.

Any of your employers use #GlobalProtect? Are you also getting this popup multiple times a day?

Gold standard for bad #UIUX choices there.

Firstly, what's the value in knowing this? There's no action to take. Or, rather, SHOULD be no action to take (we have to dismiss the popup).

Secondly, it's conditioning us to ignore notifications from the tool. If there ever IS a problem everyone is going to ignore the warning.
