Slipped in the snow on the way home. I'm fine, no injury. Bit annoyed that I got to my door and realised my keys weren't in my pocket, necessitating a backtrack to find them.

ALSO ANNOYED THAT IT SNOWED 15CM IN APRIL!

Couple of ducks came up from the river, where they usually I suppose are eating river scum, to snack on the plow bank.

Global warming probably has our number as a species, but I think the ducks will survive. They float, too.

Water St. Is bumper to bumper, light to light, the whole length right now; very narrow as parking lanes not really plowed and cutting a few feet off either side. Can't recall it ever being so jammed up, outside of a blizzard.

Looks like maybe a bit under 20 cm down. ~15 cm to go followed by ~6 mm rain according to the forecast.

Not actually wet and heavy: the snow is light and fine, blowing everywhere with moderate drifting.

The 'Svitzer Bedford' in port this morning. There are two other tugboats currently in port as well; the 'Placentia Pride' (Voith escort tug, operates around Come by Chance), and the tiny 'Dalton Guardian'.

The Bedford is a modest ~50T+ escort tug, built around 2005.

Nice morning out, crisp cool and sunny with little wind

Snowstorm en-route for Eastern Newfoundland.. warnings are out. Per Windy: GFS currently sitting at 35cm, ECMWF 18cm, worryingly.. HRDPS is ... showing 50cm.

All show rain at the tail end, around 3pm. Regardless, we are going to get a lot of snow.

The ol' back will be hurting this week...
