One of the most requested features on Mastodon's github is for backfilling old posts on remote profiles when they are followed, so that followed profiles are never empty.

This would make federation much much more intuitive.

If you're comfortable using Github, and if you agree this feature would be a good idea, could you give it a thumbs up so they know there is demand for it?

At the moment getting a lot of questions which are answered on the site, and it's difficult to keep up with every question. I'm happy to keep answering, but also afraid I'll miss someone's question.

Very few tools out there allow you to enter your Mastodon account as part of your social media presence. If you are in a position to influence that, go for it.
