Schluss mit der Geheimhaltung! Zusammen mit @fragdenstaat, @somoresearch und @[email protected] wir Beschwerde bei European Ombudsman Emily O‘Reilly eingereicht. Das EU-Parlament verweigert die zeitnahe Herausgabe wichtiger Verhandlungsdokumente. Das lassen wir uns nicht gefallen.
Die Verhandlungen zwischen Parlament, Rat und Kommission (Trilog) sind geheim. Unsere Anfrage zu den „4-Spalten-Dokumenten“ aus laufenden Verhandlungen zum Digital Markets Act wurden abgelehnt, verschleppt - und dann erst nach Abschluss der Verhandlungen beantwortet.
Das EU-Parlament hat gegen seine Verpflichtung zur Offenlegung der angeforderten Dokumente verstoßen. Wir bitten Emily O‘Reilly, diesen Missstand zu untersuchen.
Gleichzeitig fordern wir eine proaktive Veröffentlichung solcher Dokumente noch während laufender Verhandlungen. Dieser Schritt zu mehr Transparenz kann die europäische Demokratie stärken und die Beteiligung der Zivilgesellschaft verbessern.
