Zusammen mit den Kolleg_innen der medizinischen Fakultäten in NRW haben wir ein Netzwerk gegründet für die #geschlechtersensible #Medizin. Pläne für die nächsten Jahre gibt es schon und wir freuen uns sehr auf die Zusammenarbeit! Stay tuned in 2023!
15 countries, 29 coauthors, 1 billion plus observations... Our paper on gender pay gaps is out in Nature Human Behavior.
It shows that gender gap is not just a consequence of sorting in different occupations and workplaces. Even in jobs narrowly defined (4 digit occupation in the same workplace), gender gaps are high and amount to half of the baseline gender gap.
And it comes with a goodie: open access (being 29 helps to cofund it...)

We have been busy lately trying to find ways to measure #gender #dimensions (beyond #gender #identity) with multiple approaches. We've done qualitative, quantitative and are trying design-based participatory approaches in December. Currently working with people with #Parkinsons and with #cancer.
It's complex and multilayered, but we need to work on methods to clarify what we are doing and why it is clinically relevant - especially for the ones reluctant to see it.
