So if I understand correctly, Mandelson was a venal, corrupt backstabbing individual who should never have been appointed and whose advice was deeply flawed and corrupted by conflicts of interest.
But now his every statement about Starmer is considered to be so important and insightful that we hang on every word, And his views displace everything else from the front page.
